Coffee Conquers All

November 12, 2007 · Leave a Comment

Returning to blog writing, because Matt asked – I’m feeling much better than what I was a couple of hours ago. The sole reason for this is that there is an enormous amount of confidence built into a cup of coffee. Like most days, I feel like there is so much to do and not enough time to do it all. I guess this is true for most people. My problem is a bit more pressing than most people, though. My assignments are things that need to get done today, because they are due tomorrow. This is where the coffee is helpful.

I feel depressed because of the amount of work to be done and the limited number of time to do it. (And the consequences of doing things last minute.) I also rethink my weekend decisions and how I could have spent my time more effectively. All of which are things and feelings that are unavoidable when you are a full time graduate student, teaching 20 hours a week, and still wanting to have a social life. Feeling awake, redirects the depression to a positive outlook on looking towards a long night of working. And I stress long.
